Day One® is a program of Cornerstone. A secure and confidential web-based database connects Minnesota domestic violence shelters and safe housing programs to each other's bed space availability and program information. A domestic violence victim makes one phone call to the Day One® Minnesota Domestic Violence Crisis Line (1.866.223.1111) and is immediately connected to the closest domestic violence shelter or safe housing program nearest the location from which they are calling. During this single call, the victim will receive assistance from trained advocates to help them and thier children locate an appropriate, safe place to stay.
